About
Brandon Brooks (he/him) is an architect, educator, and designer from Charlotte, North Carolina. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architectural Studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 2018 and a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture in 2023.
During graduate school, Brandon took a one-year leave to work at Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects in New York City. There, he developed a lasting appreciation for collaboration and the thoughtful making of architecture that is enduring, meaningful, and deeply rooted in place. These principles continue to shape his work today.
His practice is driven by a curiosity for architecture, craft, culture, and memory, and he continually explores how these ideas intersect across design, research, and making.
Most recently, Brandon taught a design studio at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, where he discovered a passion for teaching and mentorship. He believes that fostering the next generation of designers, makers, and critical thinkers is one of the most meaningful aspects of his practice.
